The team confronts David "The Octopus" Corleone, about the Security breach in A Dead Man's Treasure. David concurs that it is troubling, and admits to the possibility of one of his lieutenants having given up sensitive information, or turned traitor all together. He offers up three suspects, all of whom had a hand in the preparations for the Hong Kong meeting. The first is Robert McCauly, a former bank robber, turned security specialist who has been in charge of securing the goods up until now. The Second is a former LoneStar detective on David's payroll, Vincent Pachino, who handled shipping the goods to Hong Kong. The last, but least likely is a lawyer David dispatched who handled the finding of buyers, and was approached by the late Mr. Cash Money, who tried to force the runners to sell to him by murdering the competition. The runners decide that their first move is to relocate the goods so that none of the suspects has a clear idea of where they are. They withdraw their loot form a safety deposit box in Brackhaven Investments, and take it to a secret mobster bank in Puyallup that David personally arranges for. Next, they try and lure out the mole by pretending to relocate the goods in a different area with each suspects assistance. When the runners are trying to ferret out whether McCauly is the mole, they find that they are pulled over by a random KE patrol that has been tipped off that something illegal is being moved in their van. Though they are able to talk their way out of trouble, it delays them enough that when they get to the safehouse McCauly has arranged for them, it has been burned down, and McCauly and his men appear to have been burned alive. Growth has a spirit perceive the signature, and discovers that it belongs to Mr. Cash money, who they had thought killed. The team is out for blood as they trace the signature to Salish Sidhe territory, and then to a ferry heading to Vancouver. They manage to intercept the Ferry and board it, only to discover Robert McCauly alive, and in the company of not Mr. Cash Money, but the mage Tam, who was unleashed in Anything Goes. The mage has set a trap to try and lure Growth out, and take his revenge, hoping that the fight in a crowded public area would hamper Growth, who has been reluctant to kill civilians. This doesn't work for him, as the Mage Tam is killed, and Robert McCauly is taken back to David for justice.
