Arif is a white guy from a Muslim family in his thirties living in a Hindi temple northeast of Delhi. He is a powerful ritualist and adept, perfectly incapable of summoning spirits and casting spells (a combination not seen often). He knows much of metaplanes, mythology and Hinduism, and is alwas happy to share with the class for a favor or two, which often involves helping out around the ashram or whatever else there is that needs to get done in the region. The Himalayas are his geographic specialty, and he particularly cares about mythologically relevant objects. Recently, him and his ashram have gained access to the legendary Sanjeevani plant, a cure to almost any ailment, which has the potential to contain the precious amrita substance. His new mission is to guard this secret until he is ready to provide other trusted religious sites with the plant.

Omnicure: At loyalty 4, for a chip, Arif can admit an NPC to a rehabilitation program for Renfield-induced Essence Degradation. The specifics, including success, and Essence regained, if any, are left up to the GM.
