The runners were hired by the pirate Vantablack Jim, who has recently been having problems with rival pirates encroaching on his turf (the skies above Havana) combined with recent shadowrunner activity costing him men and resources. To combat this, the runners were hired to fly under his flag with a small crew, steal some treasure, and fight anyone that got in their way. Under Umbra's guidance, the crew were kept (mostly) alive, well armed, and able to support a variety of boarding operations attempted by the rest of the team, which mostly split into two separate groups. In the end, the team located Vantablack Jim's treasure, as well as a bit extra, successfully.
