A gunslinging adept, and burned corporate bodyguard.
Uses gallows humor as a defense mechanism, the more nervous or fearful he is. Always dresses suits or outfits close to it, having been used to them from his time shadowing corporate executives. Generally tries to make as many friends as he can.
Things that could be useful for a GM to know to further tailor the run for your character, or would make you entertaining to take on a run. Could be stuff like
- Serial monogamist, so there's a lot of exes in his wake.
- Was blacklisted and hunted by Renraku for some time when he attempted to report a VIP's numerous crimes, both financial and otherwise, to the authorities.
Qualities that the GM should know about in advance, including but not limited to:
Mentor Spirit - Dragonslayer
Distinctive Style - Gamble has had a dress code instilled into him since his days as corporate security, guarding executives who had to be in the public eye. . Even with being covered in tattoos honoring his mentor spirit, he always wears suits of some form or another on a given run. If enough runners are asked about a tattooed suit spraying rounds down-range like a suburbanite watering their lawn, Gamble will come to mind.
No Man Left Behind
See backstory, really.
Gamble was originally born Leland Crane, and was a midly above-average athlete and eventually had placed into a program Renraku had been running to train up people out of high school to be security. Leland excelled at the more physically-demanding parts of the job, and worked his way up the ladder to be part of an armed executive detail. His final VIP was a vicious, corrupt son of a board member with too much sway within the corp and so his crimes were either overlooked or would warrant at best a slap on the wrist and fine. Leland eventually had a crisis of conscience, gathered evidence, and turned it over to the authorities. His proof fell on worse than deaf ears, and he was instead implicated in the crimes that included human trafficking and embezzlement to not only tarnish his reputation but make him a corporate target. He burned all of his remaining favors to have his records and SIN disappeared, and he went into hiding to avoid retaliation. When the last saved nuyen ran out, he began to run the shadows.

Average height and, tends to wear a calm smile on his face at all times. He keeps his dresswear formal and clean, even when at home relaxing. The only difference is he's instead barefoot. He is covered in tattoos except for his face, though his neck and the side of his head are also inked.
