Laurence Newhouse is the heir-apparent to Newhouse Arms. Which, between the California Protectorate mess and a general lack of innovation, has seen much better days. Laurence is also distrusted by current management, seen as a good for nothing playboy, and has to prove himself to get his way. Laurence's fondness for drugs and women IS hard to deny, and he's certainly too young and inexperienced to be CEO material, so it's possible that such distrust is warranted. To prove them wrong, and to push his family's company back to its former glory, Laurence is looking to get in good with reliable runners who might be interested in useful weaponry. What his company isn't already contracted out to manufacture, he can get using his connections. In return for a favor or two.
